GALAX Introduces New-Generation Hall of Fame Graphics Card
GALAX has unveiled its latest Hall of Fame (HOF) graphics card in the Chinese hardware market. This high-end custom design is powered by NVIDIA's new "Blackwell" GeForce RTX 5080 GPU. The almost all-white model features a signature "Plus-X" crown-like structure that lights up with ARGB, showcasing its position in GALAX's product lineup.
Some press outlets have expressed disappointment that GALAX did not choose the GeForce RTX 5090D internals for their first release of new HOF designs in 2025. According to a report from VideoCardz, the GALAX GeForce RTX 5080 HOF OC LAB Plus-X Edition boasts a striking white 12-layer PCB with a 14+6+6 phase power design and a 70A high-current DR-MOS power stage. Unlike its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB Plus-X, this model relies on a single 16-pin power connector.
While a dedicated product page with full specifications is not yet available on GALAX's website, VideoCardz estimates the card's maximum TDP rating to be around 400W, based on similar AIB model spec sheets. The HOF OC LAB Plus-X Edition comes equipped with a dual BIOS system, with the overclocked "P-Mode" boosting the clock speed up to 2730 MHz.
The card features an air cooling solution with two 102mm fans on either side of a central 92mm unit. GALAX's "Frost Ring Blades" promise quiet operation and optimal airflow. The card also includes the "Hyper Boost" system, allowing users to set the triple-fan cooling solution to operate at maximum RPMs via a switch on the I/O bracket.
Inspired by ZOTAC, GALAX has incorporated a Safety Light-esque error detection system in their new model. As of now, the GeForce RTX 5080 HOF OC LAB Plus-X Edition is not yet available for purchase in China.
