The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX, with 96 cores and 192 threads, has been designed to operate at an impressive 5.00 GHz on all cores. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given its high core count. The overclocker responsible for this feat is SkywalkerAMD, an American enthusiast.
In a recent test, the processor achieved a remarkable Cinebench R23 multithreaded score of 186,800 points. However, what makes this even more impressive is that the processor consumed a substantial 948 watts of power during the test. To keep the processor cool, an SP5-compatible all-in-one liquid CPU cooler was used. Despite this, when faced with a thermal load close to 1 kilowatt, the chip reached a temperature of 98 degrees Celsius, nearing its maximum T-junction value.
Although the 186,800 points score is impressive, it is not the highest score ever recorded for a single-processor machine. That record belongs to a workstation powered by a previous-generation Threadripper PRO 7995WX, which was cooled using liquid nitrogen. For more information, you can visit the HWBOT link below.
