Shawn Han Joins Intel Foundry as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Foundry Services
Intel Foundry has announced the appointment of Shawn Han, a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, as its new Senior Vice President and General Manager of Foundry Services. Han will report directly to Naga Chandrasekaran, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Intel Foundry.
Extensive Semiconductor Industry Experience
Shawn Han’s career in the semiconductor sector began in 1996 when he joined Samsung as a senior engineer in the Technology Development team. Over the years, he played a pivotal role in the development and transition of multiple process nodes, gaining deep technical expertise and insight into evolving customer needs and industry trends. Han holds a PhD in Material Science and Engineering from Iowa State University, further underscoring his technical credentials.
Rising through the ranks at Samsung, Han eventually became Executive Vice President, where he led Samsung’s U.S. Foundry business. In this role, he was instrumental in attracting new customers and securing strategic deals, leveraging his extensive industry relationships and understanding of the global semiconductor landscape.
